Are Student Loans Egregious Or Are They Exploitative?

May 26, 2020 / Edmunda Gamble / 0 Comments

Student loans seem to be at the centre of lots of debate these days

In fact, more people are questioning whether they are exploitative. There are certain students who seem to be absolutely disgusted with them.

What do you think about this debate? Do you agree that student loans can be exploitative?

For people who study and then opt for jobs that require education, it is understandable that they would be mad about their studies. However, how can we not feel empathy for students who want to study but are unable to because of loans?

The reason why student loans are known as exploitative is that the payment schedule that the government has in place makes it difficult for those who need it the most to pay for it. The government never sees eye to eye with students since it is very unpopular that most students end up doing well in their studies but end up owing more than they were going to pay for.

Debt will always plague people. Why? This is because they have the wrong mindset that they will not be able to afford anything else without the use of a loan.

However, because of the current economic situation, the government has recently introduced a new loan scheme, allowing graduates to apply for it. Although, this scheme has been funded by the government, it is not a loan that people were supposed to get into.

Do you think that this move was meant to appease the students who are still worried about paying back their debts? Did it not occur to you that this may have been an attempt by the government to assure students that they will not be forced to repay their debts? Perhaps the government had to do this in order to reduce the pressure on the college loans?

Since this happens to happen every day, students are not happy. They are now even considering dropping out of studies to avoid paying for these loans. What this implies is that a lot of students are already fed up with their parents’ demands and when they find that there is a solution, they will abandon all hope and leave the country.

Is this exploitation? If you think so, there are quite a few countries that do not allow their citizens www.essayserviceonline.com to live without any sort of debt. Furthermore, even the US government has taken this stance.

So, can you really call this kind of system exploitative? Is it wrong to expect a student to keep working until he or she is able to pay off the debt? After all, it is the student’s aim to make sure that the government has made a good decision.

If you ask me, the answer is yes. In fact, if the student cannot pay, the government is obligated to take over his or her funds. At the same time, if the student cannot continue studies and does not have the means to pay, then the student will be responsible for the debts.

Students will not only be exploited but they will also be successful in getting some money from the government. So, is the government wrong to give them loans? No.
